How to Read a Candle Flame

You can find important messages in the flame.  Here’s some tips for reading the flames of glass encased candles.

1. Candle is burning evenly and steadily

This is usually a very good sign.  An indication that the spell or blessing will probably work out and that you will likely get your wish.   If you are burning a candle inside a glass, look at the glass.  Is the glass clean with little or no trace of the wax? GOOD!  You have most likely casted a successful spell.

2. Candle hisses or makes sizzling noises

Listen!  This may be  a spirit, angel or some other worldy being trying to communicate.  Clear your mind so you can receive the message.

3. Candle flame sparks

Don’t want to worry you but this is interpreted as some disillusion with what you are asking.

4. Candle flame is unsteady, dipping, rising and flaring constantly

If you are sure that your candle is not sitting by a draft, then this may be a sign that your spell is being met with some resistance by the person to whom it was intended.   This person may be unconciously aware of your actions and may be resisting the spell.

What does it mean when the flame doesn’t point in any direction in particular? The flames on both of my candles burned vertical. Maybe slightly swayed south. Also I didn’t have something to really hold my second candle so I tried to grab it as it was really short, the flame put up a fight, it wasn’t quick to go out but I rolled it over in the glass bowl & it went out but I lit it again immediately & finished my spell. Do I have to do it again? Both candles were really short by then & it’s a 7 day ritual & I’m only on day 2. & if I use two seperate candles to respresent me & a person & my candle burns calm & steady the whole time & his burned calm & steady for a good portion of it but then his flame grew a lot & started jumping constantly what does that mean? I saw a few sparks which is good, it means someone’s communicating with me but should I be worried? It was only his flame that was jumping. Last night both of our flames were kinda jumpy. But the flames burn very high & strong. His flame was much higher than mine as well.
